This diaper needs a cover

Rump Wraps Fitted diapers These can be made in any absorbant material you choose. The diaper shone here has bamboo inside with a flannel backing and a terry cotton toweling soaker.  These are pretty reasonable to make. All the diapers have tabs which can be pinned or a Snappi (R) Fastener can be used . With ours you can also add the snaps or the velcro. ( micro fiber terry will be only 3 layers either size)
